Garcinia mangostana (mangosteen) known as the queen of fruits in South East Asia. They are seasonal fruits like the rambutans, durians and mangoes. Mangosteen is about the size of a tangerine, it has a brownish-purple skin that can stain your clothes if you're not careful when opening them. The inside of the mangosteen consists of wedged segments, usually varies from 6 to 7. Each segments containing oval seeds, although sometimes they can be seedless (for the small wedge).
