» » Panettone two stories

The cake filled with nuts and raisins is a Christmas tradition appeared in Italian and Milan, but there are three different versions to explain its origin.

The first version is that the product was born in the year 900, invented by a baker named Tone. Therefore, the cake would have been known as crash-di-Tone. The second version of the story says the chef Gian Galeazzo Visconti, first Duke of Milan, the product prepared for a party in 1395. And the last version has a certain Ughetto decided to employ a bakery in order to stay close to their loved Adalgisa, the daughter of the owner. There he would have invented the cake, between 1300 and 1400. Happy with the news, Baker Ughetto allowed to marry Adalgisa.
In Brazil, the tradition began to expand after the

Second World War, when Italian immigrants decided to do the same panettone consumed by them in Italy at Christmas time.
